Ximblog is a personal web log system based on Perl, PHP and mSQL.

This is the initial release under the BSD License.

Ximblog is a personal weblog system, designed for use only by small groups of people, like a small office or family. Its interface is based on CSS Style Sheets and can be themed.

Project Status

At the moment, I don't recommend Ximblog for anyone but developers. Its design revolves around a "build and install" methodology, and it really needs a more "drop and play" design. Tools like PHP Bug Tracker and PMWiki work in this manner. Their designs make them easy to just drop into a web site with very little code changes, very little hands on configuration and very little fuss all around. This is exactly how tools like Ximblog should work - but it doesn't. At least not yet.

To get Ximblog ported to this design requires moving from Perl build scripts to PHP runtime scripts. It probably won't be hard to do, but it takes time, and time is the one thing I have a hard time coming by these days.

What is XEUS?

Ximba focuses on desktop software (including graphics). XEUS is the web site that makes this software publicly available as well opening the software to public contribution.
